Here we go again

I always say, there's nothing like a good pair of break-up shoes:

Or a haircut... hmmmm, decisions, decisions.

PS. If you know of any good guys in Logan. Let me know!

Spring Break!

Why do I love USU? Let me count the ways... 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 days of spring break definitely helps.

For spring break, I took a little trip with some friends. On the way down Emily and I had the most epic car flirting experience ever. Ready, Set, STORY!

There we are, driving in Nephi, a red car pulls up next to us and the passenger gives a little head nod. Emily and I just laugh, and then I see the Utah State sticker in the back of their car. We had to tell them we were fellow Aggies. I put on blue gloves passed out at the basketball games and we catch up to them. I do "The Scotsman" cheer as we pass. Next thing I know, they have an iPad out that says "Cedar City?"
"Nope, St. George." We manage to communicate.
The next statement we get from the iPad is, "Lunch in Fillmore?"
As fun as that would be, I'm currently taken and Emily didn't want to be the only one, so we said no. We thought that was the end, right? Nope...
Right before the Fillmore exit we get another message, "Subway in Fillmore. Hope to see you there." Again, we pass and laugh. End of story, right? Wrong again.

Likealittle.com is an interesting flirting website that is used when using words is not your style... My friends and I have recently developed an addiction to seeing what people post on this website. Lo and Behold, only a few hours after arriving in St. George we see this message. click here

Hilarious, eh? We thought so.

While in St. George we got to go to Zions, where Jenny ripped her pants (pictures available on facebook).

And to Las Vegas to see our Aggies play...

While in Vegas, we also got kicked out of two casinos. All of us passing 21 by a few years, except for little Emily. She's still 20. Lots of good times, even if we can't be on the casino floor or even in the sports lounge. Thanks for a great break guys!!

Stories

Keeping up on blogging is haaaard (said with an extremely whiny voice).

I'm sorry to friends and family that have been turning to my blog in hope of an update. Here's what's new:

I am in love with Aggie Basketball. I love the spectrum full of 10,000 people. I love the cheers. I especially love our Super Fan, Wild Bill. Not so much a fan of the actual basketball, but going to the games is a total blast.

I have mysteriously managed to burn, scratch, cut, or bruise myself at an exponentially increasing rate over the past few weeks. I've burnt my hand twice on my straightener, once on the oven; fell on the ice causing a nice bruise to form right below my knee cap; got viciously scratched during a game of basketball... I should probably just stay inside for a few days and prevent anything bad from happening.

So... Spring break is this coming week. USU gives an entire week off (Woot Woot!). I'm going to head down to St. George to enjoy the sunshine. The only downside to this adventure...(pause for effect)... I have 3 tests the week we get back to school. I know right!? 3 tests that I have to study for over this awesome week in a sunny place :( At least I'll be able to study outside!

Anyway, that's what's new...

school expenses

Just want you to know... I saved $203.89 by buying textbooks online this semester. Pretty awesome, right?

The sad thing is, I still spent $244.00. I better strengthen a lot of my brain muscles for that price!

Goals A' Plenty

I'm not one for New Year's Resolutions because they are usually just empty hopes. I am one for setting goals though. Here are my goals.

1. Read the Book of Mormon twice.
I am hoping to read it in 100 days, but promise not to get mad at myself if it takes more than that. As long as I finish it twice this year. :)

2. Don't watch so much T.V. and movies.
I watched a lot of T.V. this last semester and I've noticed differences. My laziness has increased sooo much and my acceptance of "worldly ways" has increased. Not good people! So no American Idol, no America's Next Top Model, No Office (oooo... that's a hard one).

3. 4.0 Baby!
I really want a 4.0 this semester, but I will be satisfied with a 3.7. I want to show my advisor that I'm sticking with Communicative Disorders and I think a boost in the G.P.A will do so.

4. Get Organized
I've made lists of expectations I have in organization. I have checklists and I have time-schedules. I feel that the lists will probably make me feel guilty enough to stick to it.

5. Get a Job.
I need one. Really bad. Any assistance in this department will be greatly appreciated. :)

These are my goals, not my resolutions. Let's see how I do!

more

Time for a Festive background! Happy December!!

I left my camera at my parents' house during Thanksgiving Break. So no pictures this time. I'll get it back soon though.

The guy that was supposed to buy my macbook bailed, so now I have no money. I am not friends with that guy. He is on my bad list. If anyone wants a macbook, let me know. You can have mine. :)

I got a letter from Sister Simmons. She's doing great! I also found her mission blog if you are interested in checking up on her. She comes back in February, if she lets them which is not likely.

Yesterday, was the best. I went snowshoeing up Green Canyon AND sledding on Old Main hill AND had some nutella toast. It was a great way to celebrate the snow.

I've registered for classes for next semester. I'm taking language science, speech & hearing & language development, acoustics of the ear, and a few other classes related to communicative disorders. I'm also taking rock climbing for fun :) It's going to be a fun semester (even if it does start at 7:30 am).

Well, that's it for now. Catch up with you later!!

my fantabulous weekend

I spent Friday night with my new life long buddy, Ashley. We went a Special Needs Dance and danced the night away. There were guys in jeans, and girls in ball gowns (even one wedding dress). It was a blast!

On Saturday morning I competed in the USU Dodgeball competition - very random I know. We didn't make it to far in the competition, but that's totally fine. It was to support the Special Olympics, which I really want to help out with now.

After that I got a tour of Logan City. I went to Great Harvest and had a yummy sandwich, then to Global Village and the hippie store, Earth Awakenings (pretty sure they were selling a few illegal things, if you catch my drift). I went to Gossner's too. They have flavored milk! I had orange creme milk (tasted like a creamsicle) and rootbeer milk (tasted just like the frothy part of a rootbeer float). It was incredible! I had some very squeaky cheese as well.

Now for the funny of the weekend:

After Gossner's, I went to a place called "All About Socks" If a store that only sells socks isn't funny enough for you, just wait. While I was there, I found a pair of socks that had beer mugs on them. Absolutely hilarious, right? My friend bought the socks and I hope he cherishes them for his whole life. I found an amazing pair of "socks". They were $1.00. They are rainbow-striped. I was soo excited to put them on when I got home. To my horror, I discovered that these socks were actually tights for two year olds. Never fear! I turned them into socks! Here is the finished product!
